February Internet Splashes

Well the days are getting that little bit longer and many are beginning to look forward to spring. In the meantime, why not take a moment to have a little look at a few inspirational short films currently online?

We start with a very short film that follows on from recent posts about sea pools. This is about Sea Pool in Cornwall and Tam from The Wild Swim Store gently talks through what you might expect from a visit. I know you may never get to visit Bude in person, but I do feel sharing shorts like this help bring people together in spirit… and you never know when you or a friend might be on that Cornish holiday! You can check out Tam and Jay’s other useful short films and reviews on their YouTube channel here, or their instagram account here.

Next is a brilliantly captured short film that… well just watch The Dirt Birds for yourself! This really made me laugh a lot!

You can see more from this hilarious Irish duo on their channel here and Instagram here.

Lastly, but by no means least is this uplifting, life affirming, honest and enjoyable watch from vlogger Stephanie also over in Ireland. Stephanie made the decision last February to take on the ’Freezbrury’ challenge to swim each day, a little longer each day during the shortest month. This really made me smile watching as she manages to capture so many of the positives about sea swimming. It’s about swimming, about talking, about sharing. It’s definitely worth a coffee and a sit down. I really hope you enjoy the infectious enthusiasm. For more travel vlogging you can catch her on Youtube and Instagram

I hope you enjoy these. Spring is coming – here’s to some sunshine and warmer swims.
If there’s a swimming related film you think others would like do get in touch so we can share it in our monthly spotlight.
